Welcome to the Mayfield Lake Summer Tunes!

Late Summer. Jazz. Wine. Sunshine.
Enjoy it All at Mayfield Lake, Saturday, September 12!

Looking for something unique to do the weekend after Labor Day, after the busy summer activities are winding down? Love jazzy, soulful music? How about outdoors in a verdant meadow setting with a glistening lake for the stage backdrop?

The second annual Harmony Jazz & Wine Festival returns to Mayfield Lake Sat., Sept 12, featuring Seattle's legendary jazz guitarist Michael Powers from 1:30-4:00 pm. Then sultry songstress Shelly Rudolph (along with Chance Hayden and other band members) take to the stage to heat up the early evening, 4:30-7:00 pm, ending just as the sun sets over the lake. (Note: schedule, line-up, and ticket prices have been revised from what was announced earlier this summer.)

Maybe you'd also enjoy tasting some local wines in this same gorgeous setting on a late summer day? Several wineries will be on hand so you can purchase wine by the taste, glass and bottle. And we'll have some local microbrews available if beer is your preference.

Never heard of Mayfield Lake? Then how about exploring somewhere new, off the beaten path, yet not too far away -- just about 90 minutes from Portland and the south Seattle/Tacoma area. About an hour from Olympia too. Definitely an easy day trip. Or, spend the night right on-site at the venue (Harmony Lakeside RV Park) in a comfortable new deluxe cabin with bedroom, kitchen, flat screen tv, etc. (you'll even get free tickets to the jazz festival with a two-night stay Sept 11-13). Or if those are all booked, stay at a nearby motel or vacation rental home.

Tickets to the festival are just $20 -- and if you'd like to get a group together to attend, for every 5 tickets, we'll give you 1 more ticket for free. This year kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult too.

It's going to be a classy, laid-back experience, with fabulous music, some tasty bbq ribs and other bbq items available for an amazing price (or bring your own gourmet picnic to enjoy in the open air), plus a beer and wine garden. Families are definitely welcome.

P.S. Of course we can't "promise" sunshine (this is western WA after all) but September weather is often the best of the whole summer here!

Presented outdoors at Harmony Lakeside RV Park, with the backdrop of scenic Mayfield Lake (near the town of Mossyrock, Washington), the series is an expansion of last year’s Harmony Jazz & Wine Festival, held at the same location in September 2008. It raises funds for scholarships and economic development, and introduces tourists to this unique area.

The concert series is made possible by the East Lewis County Chamber of Commerce and title sponsor Harmony Lakeside RV Park. The Chamber supports local businesses and residents in new and useful ways and focuses on making East Lewis County a positive place to live, work, shop, and visit for people of all ages and income levels. Other sponsors of this year’s event include series presenting sponsor TDS Telecom, Harmony Jazz & Wine Festival sponsor RV’s of Rochester, and in-kind sponsors SignPro, Trailer Source, Great Wolf Lodge, Carroll’s Printing, The Chronicle, Jazz Alley, Scenic Hwy12E Crafts, and Southwest Washington Dance Center.
